The AKA brand appears to be steadily expanding as the company is scheduled to open new properties in Beverly Hills and London later this year. AKA–who specializes in high-end extended-stay properties with hotel amenities and services in metropolitan areas (e.g., NYC, Washington DC, London)–will open their first California property situated at Crescent Drive and Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles.

From Examiner.com:

“AKA caters to a high-end traveler looking for a residence of both distinction and value. The AKA Beverly Hills will also appeal to big brand shoppers who have their sights set on conquering nearby Rodeo Drive. Amenities at the Beverly Hills property will include a fitness center and dining option spearheaded by a celebrity partner to be named later this year. Each of the 88 units and 12 townhouses will be directly accessible from the street.

Suites at both will include separate living areas, kitchens, and large bedrooms. Hotel-style amenities include housekeeping, front desk and concierge services, laundry, en suite dining, and security.

Business travelers on long-term assignments will find convenience in not having to find an apartment and set up cable or Internet plans. The AKA properties feature flat-screen cable TVs, CD/DVD players, and wireless high speed Internet access.

For example, rates will start at $325 per night for suites and $650 per night for the penthouse accommodations in Beverly Hills. Based on a 30-night stay, these can offer significant savings from other long-term accommodation options like apartment and home rentals in the area while adding the convenience of full-service hotel amenities.”

AKA’s global expansion evidences a high demand for high-end corporate housing with character–the company has crafted a unique identity in the marketplace, combining contemporary furnishings with business, fitness, and lifestyle services.
